Due in no small part to the ever rising cost of gas, many Americans have turned to their bicycles as a less expensive way to get around exorcise more get fitness.
Many of us who haven’t used our bikes in years are rediscovering the fun of taking a ride, and some of us have even started to lose weight thanks to the extra exercise. Naturally we would rather be able to use our cars everyday, but riding a bike to work, or sending your children to school on their bikes isn’t half bad. While it is certainly more affordable to ride your bike to work than to drive, there are still some minor expenses associated with your bike. While you may be saving money on things like gas and car insurance and mechanics due to the car warentare, now you have to think about thinks like new wheels, tires and gear pedals. While these expenses seem minor compared to the cost of a car, if you’re on a strict budget even a few minor expenses can throw you off your plan. Even minor expenses can add up and destroy your budget. Please take a consideration that riding a bycicle can be dangerous for kids and grown up depend on what part of the city you reside. We should consider writing to our representatives to request more bike trails away from the roads, this way more and more americans will be more motivated to buy a bike and ride it safely. In return we can all get in shape and at the same time, enjoy the ride and meet other bike riders on the way to good health.
There are so many good deals out there where you can find the right bike for you, wether it is a mountain bike, road bike, hybrid bike, cruiser bike, BMX and freestyle bike, kids bike.
So let’s start saving money cutting our gas costs and car maintenance and let get healthy the right way. I have been bycicling for a year now and have saved so much money and have lost a lot of weight. I did not know how much I was going to enjoy it until I tried it.
